Favorite Restaurants: The Palm

Helloooooooooooooooooo!!!  Last night I had an AMAZING time at the Palm Restaurant, San Diego.  I was there to teach a small class on Adobe Lightroom.  One of my photographer friends, Yvonne LeBrun, asked me a few months ago if I'd be willing to come share a few of the things I know about Lightroom to a group of photographers.  Tonight was our second meeting and it was a TON of fun!!!  My wonder-mazingly great friend, Cathy De Leon, who is the Sales Manager at the Palm, arranged a room for us to meet in their sweet space.  If you're interested in coming to our next little Lightroom meeting let me know! 

I got there early to setup and had some free time so I went down to the bar for happy hour.  Ohhh happy times it was indeed!!!  Check out their happy hour menu.  Yah, that's right.  $3.50 appetizers!  And these aren't your run-of-the-mill, ordinary appetizers.  These are I-Love-Them-So-Much-I'm-Gonna-Order-Extras-To-Take-Home-For-Leftovers appetizers.  I mean, look at them!  Below is a photo of the Kobe Beef Sliders.  They are de - wait for it - lightful.  De-lightful.

But my all-time favorite appetizer are the Mini Broiled Crab Cakes.  F A V O R I T E.  There is just something fantasmical about them.  There's HUGE chunks of crab in them, the mango salsa-ey center surprise, and the tangy dippity sauce... mmmmmm, I want them right now.   Ooohhh, and their chips!  Sooo good.  Really, they're all good.

Remember how much I said I love the crab cakes?  Yah, THIS much!  Cathy must have known that because she sent up a plate FULL of them for our Lightroom class!!
